It comes down to user training. Really. Understanding of the computer.
I have never had anti-virus on any of my machines, because I trainined
my wife never to click on anything she didn't know. I run firewalls,
I run Snort-Inline. My Home network is secure. (10+ computers)
I trust my OS completely. I use OSX everyday all day.. and no, I
won't switch to anything else.
(i switched from windows to linux to osx in 2003, and haven't looked back since)
