Cordless phones in use by you or neighbors maybe?

Funny you should bring this up this weekend. Starting sometime
Saturday and continuing into Sunday, we experienced a drop-out of
sorts at home. For various reasons, we aren't using encryption on
the network. We do have an Airport Express to extend the range
from one end of the house to the other and the iMac at the remote
end generally has 1/2 - 3/4 signal strength. But, I've always had
full strength on the laptop in my office. This weekend that
dropped to 1/2 or less and the "remote" iMac lost connectivity
altogether for about 36 hours. I updated the Airport software and
finally managed to get back to work only after recycling power on
the base unit. Prior to that, I only had half strength even when I
was within 15 feet of the unit. The lone PC user in the house,
apparently, didn't experience any issues. Only the Macs. As you
say... hmmmmmmm.

Thanks.
One other question. On our closed network at work I keep seeing a
lot of noise on the network. Using iStumbler I see 10dB noise on the
network when we close the network but when we open the network the
noise goes away. Hmmmm...
Any ideas.

I have not seen those issues but I don't connect to any that use
encryption. I recommend calling AppleCare and getting the problem
on the books.

Has anybody been experiencing problems using wireless since
loading 10.4.5?
I use one at home and we use one for demonstrations in the office
and we've been experiencing some rather strange drop outs. For
some reason my PowerBook doesn't connect to either network when I
wake it up and after I manually connect it just drops off for some
reason. Same thing happens on one of my co-workers PowerBook.
This happens using both my home AirPort and the one we use at
work. Both networks run on an Airport Extreme V5.7. The one at
home is WEP and the one at work is WPA2. The work network is
closed and the one at home isn't. We did a hard reset on the one
at work, but that didn't seem to help, we're still getting the
drop offs and having to manually connect to the network.
Any ideas?
