I read on a previous post on this list that in order to use cac
cards on 3rd party apps such as Firefox under 10.4, you have to run
pcsctool for each card you wish to use.
Only with cards whose ATRs are not registered with the
commonAccessCard.bundle card service driver. However, since you
won't know which are and which aren't without inspecting the bundle's
plist, I find it safer overall to force it with my cards.
If this is true, is there a way to force MacOS X to allow any card
to be used without running pcsctool for that card?
Where "any card" == "any CAC card," you can manually or via a script
update the Info.plist found in the commonAccessCard.bundle.
