Thanks for the info. The files are on my Mac. Yes we are on the Redstone
network and our PCs can see our Macs on the network.

You didn't say where the files are stored. Are they on your local disk?
On a Windows or Apple file server? Are you connecting to the Army
network? If so, you need to have your Macintosh integrated with the
Army Active Directory forest. Your groups will come from there.
