I loaded one of the FTP programs I asked about earlier. It seemed to work well. But now (I don't know if it's a coincidence or what) my mail and internet connections on the Macbook Pro are corrupted. They are fine, the correct settings, but I keep getting error messages to check them. I ran Connection Doctor. It worked fine and seemed to fix the problem but when I tried to send a test message it failed again and won't recover.
There's nothing wrong with my mailbox settings and ISP. Everything works fine on my windows machines.
Questions:
Is there a way to totally remove the FTP program? (I know about dropping into the trash, but is that all? Are there other system settings that could have corrupted e-mail and internet?)
Is there a way to reload just Mail and Safari from the Leopard CD or must I reinstall the entire OS?
Thanks.
Paul
