The Cherry readers are a PITA even on PCs. You don't see it because of
the incredible amount of work done by service DoD PKI offices to make it so.
I have sent email to SCM Microsystems asking if they can send me further
information about testing and Mac certification, we'll see what they
say. If I can drop $20 for a compact reader than simply WORKS - then
I'll have no complaints. But I wish Apple would stand behind its
statement that it is helping Federal customers - haven't helped me much
so far!
Any of the latest SCM readers will work with the latest firmware. When
they say CCID compliance, they mean it.
