Safari acts the same for me also trying to connect to the USAF OWA.
Most times I will get the Authorized access denied message.
Sometimes I can simply hit refresh on the browser then Safari will
ask for the CAC Pin and I will be granted access to OWA. Sometimes
no amount of refresh, deleting the cache, quitting/restarting
Safari, Reinsert CAC card will get me access to OWA. I just don't
read my email for a day or so and then try again later in the week.
I never could get FireFox to work with a CAC, would just crash on
me. I just generally tell people that my DoD email is unreliable
and to send email to my Company address.
Talk to your CSA and find your MAJCOM/forest/domain LEAP server. Hit
the LEAP server and follow the prompts.
