We are located in Pacific Grove, near Monterey, CA (about 1.5 hours
drive south of San Jose). We are trying to set up a SAN with an
Apple Xserve as the metadata controller, several Xserve Raids, and
several Linux boxes running the Stornext software. The Mac end
appears to be working fine but we are having problems getting the
Linux boxes working properly.
We are looking for a contractor in our general area (ie. less than a
day's drive) who has proven abilities to set up a SAN with this type
of configuration to contract to finish the work. We already have all
the hardware (based on a Qlogic Sanbox) and software setup as far as
we could take it. It may require reinstalling the Stornext software
on the Linux boxes and other Linux-system related things to make it
work.
Leads to other folks in this line of work would be appreciated also.
