We migrated from '5.5' to '2003' mid February and I have had no problem, and
am quite pleased --- except (see below).
First, I am not required to use the CAC so I have it configured to log-in.
Having said that, the configuration was simple, just like any IMAP account,
really, in that I filled in the name of the server, login information etc.
Now with 2003, invitations to meetings, etc get posted just like Outlook. My
Palm device syncs with the contacts and calendar on the server. I see all of
the shared folders on the server and have access to those with permissions.
Have access to other peoples mail, calendars with permission.
!!EXCEPT: I still can't get the "global" address book (LDAP settings) to
work. Nothing I have tried in terms of naming the server, overriding the
port, etc seems to work. I am pretty sure it is just a configuration problem
(wrong server, wrong port, wrong ssl or no, all the above, etc). And, if
someone would only give me the correct information, it would work also. But
I am not getting much help from my DOIM (when queried, they gave me an IPA
for the old 5.5 server as the LDAP server; I knew that wasn't right [I put
it in anyway, and of course it didn't work]).
