True.... and from what I have seen of Leopard (which may not be

Ok... what about rephrasing the question.. can I buy a UNIVERSAL
version of Tiger retail? Or are all the retail versions build for
PPC only?
The only Universal version of any version of Mac OS X 10.4.x is Mac
OS X Server 10.4.7 (Universal). Mac OS X 10.4.x is only available in
a retail box for PowerPC, and the Intel version ships with machines
(obviously). There is no standalone retail Mac OS X 10.4.x (Intel)
package.
Retail packages of Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server 10.5.x will be
Universal.
Why not just keep disk images of the applicable products you're
licensed for?
