I think the answer to this is pretty obvious... if cameras are banned or WiFi is banned, etc. then you can't take it with you into any facility (government or otherwise) unless you want to ignore the rules that ban these types of devices. If cameras are OK and WiFi is OK, etc. then you can. Is there some other issue beyond the obvious?
This may be premature, but since iPhone will be running the [Mac] OS X operating system with WiFi, full email, full web client, etc., has anyone looked into issues regarding using them in government facilities?
