No problem. I believe the key item here is the version of your CAC card.
My original CAC card expired in June and a new one was issued to me.
Apparently my new CAC card is a new version. A fellow co-worker has
an older version (his is set to expire next month though) and he has no
problems with 10.5. Check the back of your CAC card to determine its
version (above magnetic stripe). As I stated in my original posting, my
CAC card make/version is : Oberthur ID One v5.2. If yours is older and
not set to expire anytime soon, then you might wanna go ahead and try
10.5. Perhaps others on this list with a CAC + 10.5 would be kind enough
to chime in on their CAC card version and if its working!

I'm glad you informed us of this problem. I was getting ready to
upgrade my system to 10.5. I will have to wait for this problem to
resolve before upgrading my Macs.

Hi everyone,
I'm hoping that the Apple OS developers read this since I have found
a problem with Leopard (i'm sure I'm not the first). I work for the

and my DoD CAC card stopped working with 10.5. I submitted this as
a bug report to Apple. Here is the scenario:
Hardware : SCR331 USB with firmware 5.22
CAC : Oberthur ID One v5.2
Under 10.4.10 the system worked flawlessly, but under 10.5 the
system log
shows the follow errors when I insert my CAC card into my reader in
10.5 :

Obviously there was a re-write in 10.5 and sadly something that
worked in 10.4.10
now does not work in 10.5. Apple please help!!!
Sincere Thanks,
