- Thread-topic: [Fed-Talk] Smart Card / Reader Issues on Mac OS X 10.5
Hi All,
I will keep this short since there is a lot talk going on and I am sure
Apple and Reader MFGs are working it from their sides. I worked on this
over the weekend. I am able to read the smart card with an OmniKey
3121, but not with my SCM 331.
It appears that OS 10.5 is seeing the SCM 331 card reader just fine as
indicated in the System Info. It just will not or can't read the smart
card info for my flavor of CAC.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I was not able to install the SCM Driver v5.0.3 with
the install script provided by the MFG. Instead I had to perform all
the steps that the script did by hand(i.e.- create directories, copy
files, edit files, etc.)
