How did you come about getting Active Identity for Mac OS X?

So we finally got the Active Identity “Smart Card” to allow us to authenticate to our Active Directory with Mac OS X 10.5. No it would be nice to be able to use the card to wake from sleep or screensaver. What we are finding is that, as long as the card is inserted and you try to come out of screensaver mode, you just get a slight flash of the screen and it goes right back to the screensaver without ever putting up an authentication method.
We are using the ActiveID Client version 3.0.16, which I believe is the latest from Active Identity. Has anyone had any experience with the ActiveID client and Leopard? Is there some setting that we need to make to get the screensaver to open the authentication window?
The other “non-working” behavior we have seen is that through the ActiveClient User Console you are supposed to be able to set the behavior for what will happen if you remove the card from the reader while you are logged on (no action, lock screen, logoff). No matter how you set this it basically does “no action”. So I wonder if this might be related to the first problem......
