Definitely not working. I did an upgrade first, with no success (same
issue). The install went fine, but couldn't use CaC with Safari on DoD
sites (so far not one). I then wiped the machine and reinstalled, with
the same results. Mail seems to recognize the CAC (at least if allow
you to sign an email)... although I haven't tested mail thoroughly.
Safari, however, doesn't work with any site yet. Keychain, shows the
CaC, when you unlock the key it requires that you enter your PIN, so
the OS is seeing the card. The main site I've been trying to access is
a Juniper SA2000 SSL/VPN, works great on my 17" w/ 10.4.11, not on the
15" with Leopard. BTW, tried to pcsctool w/o any change.

we tried that on a MBP with partial success. it work in mail but not

but that user is using a different CAC card type than me.

Insert card, run Terminal, run the command "sudo pcsctool" and select

looks like the problem might be related to the version of the CACs
people
are using. the newer cards aren't working. I have a "Oberthur ID
One V5.2"
and it doesn't work.

Has anyone been able to get a smartcard reader to work on a
PowerMac after
installing Leopard. I upgraded my 10.4.10 installation on a
PowerMac G5
tonight (that was working fine with my CAC) now the G5 doesn't even
recognize either of my smartcard readers (SCR331 and SCR3310).
