It might still be handy to have the DOD root around.
To get the DOD root, NIPRNet/DNI-U users visit:
http://dodpki.c3pki.chamb.disa.mil/
Army (AKO/DKO) users can use:
https://eportal.ctnosc.army.mil/
Thanks for the suggestion, but I am not sure how to grab the root.
The disa site does not prompt me for a CAC-based login when I go to
the page. I have an email cert on the CAC with an Air Force email
address ending in af.mil.
The Army site has a CAC-based login but my credentials aren't
accepted. Perhaps I need to create the DKO account first.
I am very new to all of this and I might be missing something obvious.
In addition to CAC authentication, some sites are restricted to .mil
address ranges.
I don't think DKO is one of these but I can't recall offhand. Either
way it's something to keep in mind.
Other than that, set Firefox to ask you to select the cert, and try with
the email cert. Both FF and Safari use the ID cert by default. If the
email cert works, you can create an ID preference in Keychain Access on
Leopard for Safari to use.
