I’m still not getting PKI functionality on my MacBook; I’ve
used two separate SCR331 readers and one Athena reader. All have flashing LED’s when the CAC card
is inserted, but there is no response in Keychain, and hence, no authentication
service for any browser or other applications. Here is the output from my Terminal session with Athena
ASEDrive IIIe USB V2 and SCR331 CAC readers attached. The output didn’t change when the Athena was attached by
itself with the card inserted, or when the SCR331 was attached, with the single
CAC card being swapped between the two SmartCard readers. Both SmartCard readers work properly
under WinXP in Parallels. I’m
running OS X 10.5.4 on a 2GHz Intel Duo MacBook.
