I use the new El Gato EyeTV hybrid, which works quite well for
viewing/recording over the air HD TV. Your mac needs to be pretty fast
though I understand. Mines a recent MBP and works well.

Maybe someone on this list has had this type requirement before. We
record our local new cast each day to DV tape and then import and edit
in Final Cut Pro. We perform this service for our local PAO office and
when there is a news story relating to Redstone we produce a DVD for
them.
Several years ago I bought an EyeTV product hoping to record directly to
our hard drives on our MACs. The quality at that time was not that good
so I dropped that idea.
Question is has anyone had recent experience with the Elgato EyeTV
products or some other product they would recommend.
Thanks
