The ability to remove the disks, optical drive, and any wireless
transmission devices without trashing the computer (like with a MBP)
would be extremely beneficial for those government agencies having
to run diskless.
And those that have hard disks that need to be physically removed and
checked back into a central safe. This is easier with external boot
disks, absolutely.... but also why including FW800 (or a PCI E slot
allowing a FW800 card) would be beneficial to those folks who have to
follow this security protocol. Though I am not sure if this protocol
is one that is still followed anywhere as it has been quite a while...
