Hello,
If the "CCID Driver Update" didn't work for you on intel platform, you
may already have installed a specific smartcard device driver in your /
usr/libexec/SmartCardServices/drivers directory.
This is what I did to get mine working after and initial install of
the CCID driver and reboot didn't work.
As root or priviledged user:
1) cd /usr/libexec/SmartCardServices/drivers
2) mkdir /usr/libexec/SmartCardServices/hold
3) mv scr*.bundle /usr/libexec/SmartCardServices/hold
4) reboot
or
4) unplug your USB smartcard reader
5) ps -ef|grep pcscd
0 837 19 0 0:00.65 ?? 0:00.80 /usr/sbin/pcscd -f
6) kill 837
7) re-plug in your USB smartcard reader and you should be good to go
Also the "CCID Driver update" seems to be for intel only processors,
is there one for PowerPC?
Aloha,
Lance
