Title: Compiling Coolkey Under Xcode 3 (renamed from Re: [Fed-Talk] Difficulty with Safari, CAC log-in, and AKO?)
David:
The Coolkey binary is an obscure link at <http://directory.fedoraproject.org/wiki/BuildCoolKey#Prerequisites_2> and is about 3/4-way down the page under the sub-heading “Pre Built Binary” (direct link is <http://directory.fedora.redhat.com/download/mac-coolkey-1.1.0.zip>).
To fix the configure error under Leopard with Xcode 3 installed you need to edit the “configure.in” file and replace the 2 occurrences of “MacOSX10.4u.sdk” with “MacOSX10.5u.sdk” BEFORE running autoconf. The configure step with then complete without errors. This relates somehow to a linker error involving /usr/lib/crtl.10.5.o (which is also located in /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.5.sdk/usr/lib). My guess is that when trying to use MacOSX10.4u.sdk in a makefile situation, the linker wants /usr/lib/crt1.o, which doesn’t exist BUT does reside in both /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4.sdk/usr/lib and /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.5.sdk/usr/lib.
Regards,
Mark
