Greetings all,
Does anyone have a recommendation for USB thumb drives with hardware-based encryption? My boss has asked me to choose a secure thumb drive to issue to all the users in our office (an all-mac environment).
So far my research has turned up only one product offering any sort of Mac support. That's the IronKey, which unfortunately still has to be initially set up on a Windows machine.
Kensington's Traveller series, Imation's Pivot Plus, and Sandisk's Cruiser Enterprise are all Windows-only offerings.
Unfortunately, the IT director has put his foot down about the hardware-based encryption requirement. Has anyone here set up an IronKey through Parallels? My experience with USB devices when using it has been rather hit-or-miss, so I'm a little leery of ordering some up and then being unable to configure them! Oh, I almost forgot....biometrics are off the table as well (due to issues I can't discuss here).
Thanks, --Jamie Rasmussen
