Well, you don't have to get rid of Office 2004 to install 2008, and if
you don't like it, you can easily get rid of it by simply throwing it
out. In the meantime you can have both installed.
"Complete redesign" is subjective. Just give it a try if you already
have it. Also ensure it's updated to the latest version:
