Ok - One more time.
Shawn and I have stated this both in public forums and posted it
on this list before.
The Leopard configuration guide that is currently being developed
by Apple is actually a joint effort, with input from a team of
members from Apple, NSA, NIST, and DISA. It is being done this
way to ensure that the needs of the ENTIRE community are being
met in the document, so none of us need to duplicate work.
So, yes, it IS what NIST will use for SCAP configuration content,
because the final goal is to have all of the SCAP configuration
content already in the document.
I have been out of the loop on the last few meetings the group has
had, so I can't tell you when that will actually happen. I don't
believe it will be a single document right from the start, though
I could be wrong on that. But I do know that is the ultimate goal.
And yes, the document is in final draft. First release should be
sometime next month.

Allan,
These are not the ones that NIST will use for SCAP
configuration content.
