Hi Michael,
I haven't seen a way to do this in Leopard without additional code.
Our product DirectControl integrates the Mac into Active Directory for
user authentication and Group Policy enforcement. We added a password
expiration notice in our shipping 4.1.2 product for Leopard since it
did not display this information itself. We've created a login script
to do this in the past, but I needed to make calls through our product
to get the password expiration time, this is now built into the product.
We have other customers using DirectControl and Group Policy to lock
down their Macs to adhere to the CIS security configuration guidelines
for OS X.
We are currently in beta with our version 4.2 which adds CAC and PIV
card login to Active Directory so that the user gains SSO to other
Active Directory integrated services. We'd be happy to provide Beta/
Evals as needed, just let me know.
Thanks
-David

I haven't gotten a response that helps yet, so I am trying again.
We are trying to configure a system to be compliant with the security
rules (NISPOM, etc).
The system not connected to any network.
Does anyone have a script or other method for informing a user 14 days
in advance of when the user's password will expire?
Thanks for any ideas.
