fyi (and to all) I don't seem to have a problem getting leopard 10.5.5
to read certificates off my scr3310 with 5.18 firmware. If you have a
new scr3310 that ship with that firmware you might be able to skip that
step.

Subject: [Fed-Talk] Help getting started CAC on my new Mac
Hi folks: Please bear with me. I received a new MBP a few weeks ago
and since have yet to RAS from home on it. I've been watching closely
here to every post and resource and I appreciate those who've blazed the
trail before me.
But... I am stuck. And am about ready to yank my hair out. I cannot
get my XP box to get past the fwupdate process. I am stuck at Step 10
of paragraph 3.4.1. When I start fwupdate, it kills the resource
manager, then I get dialog showing me old and new (including the 05.25
driver)... But when I click finish, I get
"Unable to switch to DFU mode
The device may be busy
Quit the application now and try again later"
I have:
Uninstalled Active Gold
Killed Norton, both firewall and auto-protect Gone through and stopped
every service I could think of Started in Safe Mode, but then I can't
see the Smart Card Reader
I have an SCM3310, but somehow have the 4.41.0.1 driver on it for the
SCR 35xx Card Reader. Is that a problem? I've tried rolling it back to
the 3310 with no luck. It looks like fwupdate will fix it if only it
would "switch to DFU mode."
Any help would be appreciated.
Brent Carroll
