Title: Directions for using a DoD CAC to access Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) Outlook Web Access (OWA) on a Intel-based Apple Mac
All –
At the following link http://idisk.mac.com/dp.hayes/public, please find four files: (1) two CAC device firmware files, (2) an Apple-provided smart card services update to Leopard 10.5.4, and finally (3) a Word document containing detailed instructions on how to apply the firmware updates, run the Smart Card services script, and how to create PK-enabled site specific Keychain identities.
These files are provided “as-is, where is” with no guarantees or warranties. EDS has applied these updates, run the script, made the changes as described in the instructions, and accessed NMCI Outlook Web Services successfully on Apple Macs running Leopard 10.5.4.
Additional Keychain identities can be created to access other PK-enabled websites, (the process is similar to that for NMCI OWA) but the directions for creating those additional identities are not included in the instructions.
EDS is happy to provide these instructions to the Mac community.
