Accessing the Air Force Portal (AF Portal) has been a hit or miss affair in Leopard. It continues to work remarkably well under Tiger. Lately, for our Leopard users, it has become more of a miss than a hit. After having read every post from S. Geddis and many others on the issue of accessing CAC-enabled sites, I find the current accessing the AF Portal problematic to say the least.
As more users move to Leopard or get their first mac and have no option but to use Leopard, this problem becomes more significant for AF Portal users. Has anyone in this list been able to reliably access the AF Portal from a mac running Leopard 10.5.6? If so, would you be willing to share the workflow/settings used?
Setting up identity preferences has not worked reliably. I may be able to access the AF Portal once in a hundred tries. The other 99 tries are spent in a select certificate - website rejected certificate loop.
Thank you for your time and assistance,
R Burgos |
