- Thread-topic: CAC access on new MacBook
Hi,
I recently switched my personal computers from PC to MAC and have been very happy with the new machines. The only problem I have had is regaining my DOD webmail access. I know through my research that this is a common problem and I have tried everything I know (and most of the instructions I have found on this site and others) to fix the situation. I have turned to my own IT guys at work and I sat with the Apple folks at the Genuis Bar for 2 hours as well. Nothing has fixed the problem. I am using a new MacBook with OS 10.5.6. The CAC reader is an SCR3310 and I have verified that the machine can see the card reader. I was able to find the 509 anchors but have yet to find "509 certificates"... I don't know if this is part of the issue or not. Finally, we were able to unlock the CAC card and add the website ID to each certificate. This prompted my webmail site to ask for the PIN but it rejected the certificate. All of my certificates are showing green and are valid on the machine itself. I have tried to fix the issue using Safari and Firefox but have been unsuccesful with both. I am willing to pay for additional software if that will make the fix easier... I just want my work email access back. Can anyone tell me the easiest way to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance for your time.
V/R,
Brad
