My two cents worth....
I have used Crossover very recently with Micro$not's Office 2007,
Visio Pro '07, and Project '07 with no problems. As far as VM Ware
and Parallels are concerned... I am not sure why anyone would now over
pay for either of those bloatwares. Now I am fan of VM Ware company a
bit more they have been in the VM business along time BUT.... I am
using Sun's Virtual Box ( www.vituralbox.org) and I will attest that
it is a 99% + solution for most users. OH did I mention it's
completely FREE. I am running Windoze 7 with DOORS systems
engineering software package and Ubuntu 9.0 on two different logical
partitions from a external laptop hard drive via USB ( just so it
doesn't take up my core drive space) and I even have my Mac running
full encryption on that external drive... just in case it gets lost or
stolen.
With this kind of solution... crossover is a bit out dated & I removed
it from my system. I do however use Crossover for Games to run a
couple of games when I am on TDY.

Judging by what is posted on their site, it looks like a waste of
money. It seems to only support "old" versions of Microsoft
products like Internet Explorer 6. With the way that we have to be
keep our computers secure, IE6 wouldn't even be able to meet the
minimum standards.
I use VMware Fusion without any issue. I use only the virtual
machine running XP64. IMHO, its definitely worth the money.
Remember, you get what you pay for - that's why we are running Macs.
