I am experiencing a persistent problem with login on to the Air Force portal. I hope someone reading the list may have insight into it and hopefully has come up with some workaround. I have tested access to the AF portal with the following readers:
GEMPLUS (USAF branded one with product ID 0x3437, version 1.00) SCR331 fw 5.25 Omnikey 3121 Cherry ST-1000U (only on PPC mac using the 1.0.0.2 driver from Cherry)
I have access to the following sites within the USAF with success
- Outlook Web Access (Travis AFB) - vPC-GR (although Safari does not seem to work with the application, it does get access granted) - vMPF - 349th AMW SharePoint website
Accessing the Air Force portal is not working.
Seems the problem is with the portal's server configuration and the way OS X interacts with the server. Mac OS X Leopard is affected but Tiger seems to work fine - maybe Tiger is more forgiving of whatever error is happening at the server end? I can get into the AF portal using 10.4.11. Safari on Leopard just keeps saying that the website did not accept the certificate and to select the certificate to use when connecting to the website. No matter how many times I choose the right certificate, the authentication process fails and I am stuck in a loop of requesting-submitting-refusing the certificate in Safari. I have tried using all of the different certificates found in the card and regardless of which one is selected, the process fails. Login works fine in our dell machines with Windows XP.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
