It's been my experience that the site will only work on IE6 (possibly 7) on
Windows.

Rich,
No familiar with SLDCADA, but if it is configured to allow both User/ Pass
and X.509 Cert based authentication then you would currently need to
manually create an Identity Preference to map the authentication URL to the
appropriate Certificate. This is automatically created for you if the site
is configured to require an X.509 Cert for authentication.
