Check the archives of this list; Shawn Geddis posted a very good breakdown of this issue. The short answer is that 10.5.6 has the required SmartCard services included.

Dennis - please jump in here; this is a known issue that the EDS folks are working on with Apple.
As for getting to OWA more consitently, check the CAC for MAC guide posted here http://idisk.mac.com/dp.hayes-Public/?view=web or here https://sites.google.com/a/compsolve.net/mac-cac/

I seem to be full of issues today. I am running OS 10.5.6 with Safari Version 3.2.1 (5525.27.1). I am a Japan NMCI Client (
webmail.nmci.jp.usmc.mil). IF, some time a big if, I can get my computer, actually open OWA, the connection only stays active for a few minutes before I get the "this page can not be displayed" message. I am not sure if it is because of some strange configuration that I have incorrect, or what. Please help.
