are fully authorized to buy VMware, but will not be authorized to use
it?

On 26 March 2009, CHESS and the US Army Contracting Agency (ITEC4)
awarded DoD/ESI Contract number W91QUZ-09-A-0003 for VMware
software products and services. This contract was awarded to.
Carahsoft Inc., a Small Business. This Blanket Purchase Agreement

For the Army, VM options are not an option. The only authorized
solution
using the Army Gold Master (AGM) for Mac is 'Boot Camp'. None of
the VM
applications were approved for the final distribution of the AGM which
should ship (we hope) later this month.
