Accept Joel's offer.
If the non-believers watch TV, they'd see the many TV programs whose
characters use Macs. If they're good enough for well paid actors, they're
good enough for us!
My husband disliked Mac's till our PC blow-up as a result of a virus. That
was 6 yrs ago; getting ready to buy our 2nd iMac. Oldest daughter can't be
swayed even with all her PC problems and rebuilds while youngest loves her
recently purchased new Mac laptop.
Besides, sticks and stones may break my bones; words will never hurt me
......
Don't give in.
Enjoy your Mac!!

Never be afraid of using a Mac. Let the Haters hate. When you see someone
using a non-mac just think "well, that sucks to be you!".
Sounds like you need more ammo to de-hate your co-workers. I'll come visit
you, put them all in their place and leave. You'll never have a problem
again ;)

psychosis I
have to use
my MBPro on the DownLow at work afterhours and on weekends.
Mac-Hating
is just some kind of disease here.
I think that it is some kind of political/religious thing and I
don't
want to open up that
can of worms. Of course I am preaching to the choir on the fed-talk
list.
I want to come out of the Mac Closet think:
"Don't Ask, Don't Tell, Don't Pursue."
My idea was first to buy a gelaskin that had a dell logo on it. I
could
not find
one. Although, I found plenty of other designs at www.gelaskins.com
that
I liked
but I thought the artwork would draw too much attention. I had
wanted to
buy two(2) gelaskins,
one for a MBPro and one for Dell NMCI laptop. Unfortunately, the
Dell
NMCI laptop
case is not silver aluminum. And all this energy that I am putting
in to
give the finger to the
man and woman is bordering on obsessive compulsive disorder
behavior.
So what is an undercover Mac lover(UCML) to do :-( ?
I was in Starbucks this Tuesday and I saw a gentleman-a lawyer I
think
talking to his
client- with an apple logo sticker on his Dell Laptop. I asked the
gentleman about his laptop.
He replied that his laptop was a D'Apple-Dell Apple. He said, the
apple
logo sticker
came from an iPod, he bought and he stuck it on his Dell; I mean
D'apple.
I thought that I needed to change my strategy with regard to seeking
acceptance of my Mac-Uality
by my team leader and immediate supervisor. So,Instead trying to
hide
my Mac-Uality why don't I come out of the closet slowly by letting
the
world know who I am without wearing my MacUality on my sleeve.
I thought that if I put an sticker with an apple logo on my Dell
NMCI
laptop then I can let people know
who I really am.
In conclusion, Shawn and fed-talk list do you know where I can get
apple
stickers that
I can put on my laptop, desktop, if small ones are available that
would
be nice to put on
my monitor?
Thank you,
raymond
Disclaimer, my former supervisor says that my jokes are not funny
and
border on the
offensive. If you find this email offensive then I apologize in
advance.
I thought
framing my question in the context an issue in the news would make
it
more interesting to read.
Thank you again from the Under-Cover-Mac-Lover,
raymond
