Title: Problem getting Entourage email
Interesting problem for which (so far) our IT people do not have a solution:
I am not receiving my email from the Exchange Server onto my laptop. I can send mail, but I do not receive it.
I check “Outlook Web Access” and there my mail sits.
Here’s the thing that makes it interesting: while in OWA, when I delete the email, the next time my Entourage checks for mail, the deleted messages appear in my local Inbox just fine. (note – Local Inbox, even though I disabled the rule to stop automatically moving messages off the server into my local Inbox).
Background information: Snow Leopard, Entourage 2008, Safari (used for OWA), and I think our ERDC is using Exchange Server. It was working normally through Friday morning 20 Nov, and suddenly I stopped receiving messages. It happens when I am directly connected to the network, and when I VPN from home or hotel. I made no updates or changes at that time.
Any ideas?

I would love to hear if anyone using the MS Entourage 2008 for Mac, Web Services Editions .
It’s got a crazy long name, but it works much much better than the original MS Entourage 2008.
It was released recently, and like Snow Leopard ‘s Exchange support, it uses the MS Exchange Web Services, which I whole lot faster than the WebDAV protocol that Entourage originally utilized.
You can download it from Mactopia.

Andy,
I have been using it since beta in Feb.
It solved a lot of problems, especially on laptops where the system was put to sleep while Entourage was running.
Still not perfect, especially with the calendar, but no more database corruption.

I’ve been using it since it was released over the summer. At first I thought it was much faster than ‘standard’ Entourage 2008, but I’ve been noticing getting slower and slower, and don’t know why. It could be the VPN I use, though.

Thanks Alan,
Personally, I have been using it over two months and I found it 's much better and faster app for MacBook Pro via Cisco VPN (v 4.9.01.0180) with soft token.

I do not use CAC, username/password with a forest trust from our Exchange Forest to our Default Windows login forest.
Mac is in Open Directory using Mac OpenLDAP, Sun LDAP and external kerberos.
I have since upgraded to Snow Leopard and started using Apple Mail and iCal. Configuration is trivial, no corruption issues, no calendar issues, better calendar print formats. A few deficiencies.
I really don't like, that as soon as a message comes up in the preview window, it is marked as read.
Also can't mark a calendar invitee as optional.

Do you mean in Entourage or Mail/iCal? You can certainly add optional invitees in iCal in 10.6...

iCal connected to Exchange. I can invite someone, but can't mark them as optional. This is the case with Entourage also. It must be a WebServices limitation.

That's odd. I can.
Perhaps a setting on the JPL system? I just sent you an invitation with you as an optional attendee on the NOMAD Exchange system from iCal in Snow Leopard.
