1. Is Snow Leopard required or does it work with the older MacOS X
versions as well?
I could make ACManager available for Leopard, but the Leopard and
Tiger audit systems are pretty broken (or were the last times I
checked). I cannot recommend relying on BSM on these platforms. Snow
Leopard is a different cat, and so far BSM seems to work very well.
Side request for people: If you have some specific scenarios you want
tested to see what they produce in the audit trails, please send them
my way as well. I think comparing scenarios vs. what turns up in the
audit trails based using various recommended audit configurations
would make a nice white paper/presentation.
2. Does it include (or do you know of) a good audit tool for
actually auditing the logs?
I am working on that, and hopefully I will have something out by
Thanksgiving.
