Aren't all Macs manufactured in China now? I don't think it is an issues of the hardware being manufactured in China (although that is a concern) so much as whether the company is Chinese or not. It is a complex issue.
And for me, I don't think I can do audit trail analysis on an iPad or iPhone, so I have no way to determine if an application has gone rogue :(. iPhones, iPads, and their competitors are powerful computers, but I think they are still largely treated as a separate class of device. Does anyone know if Apple is pursing Common Criteria or other certifications for these "below laptop" devices?
