FYI For the Army, CHESS has a list of approved hardware that will work with the AGM for 10.5
If you're buying for the army, CHESS is the place to look for all things license related.
With Apple, certain old h/w needs old OS and certain new h/w needs the new OS.
We hear these kinds of questions so often, we put out a white paper/eBook spelling out what some of the pain points are - it's more for the commercial world but a lot applies to the Fed Space

This is more a curiosity than anything else but...
How do people cope with buying new hardware if 10.6 is not yet supported?
