Dave,
Blaming Apple for all your pki problems doesn't take into account the people operating your pki infrastructure. I'm sure these are Windows people who could care less about providing compatibility with Macs. pki has been available and operational on a Mac for several versions of OSX but in typical fashion, trying to get the existing infrastructure to upgrade/convert/re-tool to allow Macs the same level of operation isn't something they feel like doing. I'm sure if someone set up a pki infrastructure from scratch with Macs in mind it would work just fine. I'd love to hear from anyone who's tried to do this as a project separate from their current infrastructure.
