Hello everyone,
I have a user with a peculiar problem. He is unable to mount a share from one of our fileservers using Samba. He has permissions to the share, and he is able to mount any other NTFS share that he has permissions to as long as it's not on this particular fileserver. When I login to the Mac, I am able to mount the share that he cannot, along with any share from the aforementioned fileserver. He gets error -36 (some data could not be read or written) when attempting to mount. He also cannot mount the share using the terminal - here we get Unknown error -1. Again, however, he is able to mount any other share through Terminal. I am able to use Terminal to mount the share that he is unable to mount.
We're in a SSO environment using Centrify and JAMF Software Server on a Windows 2K3 network. My feeling, however, is that there is something in his local profile that is causing this problem.
I have deleted the keychain item for this share, but the same error message appears anyway. Attempting to authenticate while mounting the share does not lock his account so it's not a password issue.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks,
-Mike
