In reading up on the attacks against Google, presumably by elements in China, I ran across a report by Mandiant on Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs). The report is free, but you do need to provide them with contact information since they email you the report. The report describes a number of case studies, including deep penetrations into cleared defense contractors (CDCs), hence the potential interest to this group. (the second link is for the report)

It is pretty scary reading, and makes me love my Mac even more because so far the (presumably) Chinese have exclusively focused their efforts on Windows machines up to this point.
