- Thread-topic: I did not know: vmware fusion supports OS/X Leopard Server & Snow Leopard as Guests
While killing time looking at magazines at Borders, in Mac World UK or
US, I came a across a blurb about a Judge William Alsop issuing a
cease and desist order against Pystar: stating that the apple software
license states OS/X can only be run on apple hardware.
I flipped a few more pages and another blurb mentions that OS/X can run
in a VMware Fusion virtual machine. My first
was reaction was that this must be a misprint. My second reaction was I
hope I don't have a surprise drug test
because I must be suffering from "iPod hallucinations"
According to a Welsh psychiatrist
"Using your iPod a lot could make you hallucinate".

This is the real reason why "...Military Bans Disks, USB Drives"
Your iPod will turn you in to a human bot.
Anyway, I had to verify that VMware Fusion did support Leopard and Snow
Leopard as guests. The results are below

I searched the fed-talk list and I could not find any references to
running OS/X Leopard Server & Snow Leopard as Guests
with VMware fusion. I came late to the MAC Server Road show so I don't
know if it was discussed there or not.
Question: Has anyone on the list tried to run OS/X Leopard Server & Snow
Leopard as Guests under VMWARE fusion?
I apologize in advance if I bought the last ticket on the clue train and
you all know all about this.
If you can point me to some reviews or installation walk through on
installing Leopard or Snow Leopard
as Guest O/S using VMware fusion I would appreciate it. All the
information that I have found thus far is
on installing "Windows 7 on your Mac with VMware Fusion."
Thank you,
raymond

A Quick Note on Running Mac OS X Snow Leopard Virtual Machine in VMware
Fusion 2.0.2
If you are a Mac developer, or Mac enthusiast, you may be interested in
running/playing with Mac OS X Snow Leopard in the safety of a virtual
machine on your Mac. VMware Fusion now allows you to do this, after the
Fusion team fixed a kernel panic issue. We posted the fix in VMware
Fusion forum. After applying the fix, you should be able to run current
32-bit Snow Leopard server builds in a VMware Fusion 2.0.2 virtual
machine.
