That pretty much sums it up. To get 2 of the 3 trojans you have to specifically be trying to install pirated software (iWork or iPhoto). The 3rd apparently is typically distributed via porn sites ("please install this video codec to view our videos").
And in general, whether you are running Solaris, Linux, Mac, Windows, or *any* operating system, if the user is allowed to install software from a random source then there is a chance of installing code that doesn't something malicious.
