Because of reporting of audit problems with 10.5 Leopard, I am either
forced into using 10.4 Tiger or 10.6 Snow Leopard. Initially, 10.6 Snow
Leopard had the same problems with reporting audit results correctly as
10.5 Leopard. I and other developers submitted numerous bug reports on
Snow Leopard which enabled Apple to corrected many of the audit issues.
When we first reported the audit problem with Leopard, Apple was not
going to correct Leopard at that time but wait till Snow Leopard was
released.

Actually, DoD CIO Memo "DoD Configuration Baseline for Microsoft Windows
7, Apple MAC 10.5,
Redhat Enterprise Linux 5, and Internet Explorer 8" dated 30 April 2010
established NIST as our primary repository
(http://web.nvd.nist.gov/view/ncp/repository?cid=3) and announces a new
DoD consensus security baseline for Mac OS 10.5
(http://web.nvd.nist.gov/view/ncp/repository/checklistDetail?id=293).
No Mac OS X server configurations there yet.
