It's *possible*, but I'd say that they'd wait a bit longer to do a hardware rev, especially given its success so far.
I'm still puzzled why they didn't just include the camera hardware right off the bat (especially given that there's a place for it), even if iOS 3.x didn't contain a lot of the required functionality...but then again, maybe that's the reason they chose not to do it...
