In the AGM there are a few app's that are disabled. Spotlight for example. Which dose not make any sense because so many app relay on spotlight being enabled. Now within the AGM iTunes is allowed however access to the iTunes store is not. This is most likely GPO on your network not allowing access to the iTunes store.
As far as the Camera goes I agree that if the camera is on the green light is on. If you have access to the GSX if not apple's web site would be a good place to start.
