Jared, the terminal command that Paul mentioned below is what I was
telling you about that I did on my Time Machine. I just couldn't
remember the exact command. It works great. Changing the last digit
from a "0" to a "1" is the switch I was describing. Then just
download the free Time Machine editor and you can change that
ridiculous hourly backup to when ever you want.

I went with the regular Apple Airport instead of the Time Capsule

(unlike the store employee told me) you cannot use part of the Time

I instead returned it, bought an Airport base station and hung a
drive off
it that I pre-partitioned. It *is* unsupported and you need to do
defaults write com.apple.systempreferences
TMShowUnsupportedNetworkVolumes 1
On each client machine to see my "hacked" network time machine, but
it works
great. This way now if my storage needs exceed my storage capacity,
it's as
easy as tossing on a newer bigger drive.
I believe besides the built-in disk, the Time Capsule and Airport base
station are exactly the same.

My router did it again...If it is the router...(Belkin has me

Belkin was useless again telling me the only way that could happen
is if
someone went on the Belkin page and changed it. It must have been
me or a
family member. (I *knew* I couldn't trust that dog! But he did

Anyway, I'm thinking of replacing the Belkin with an Apple Time
Capsule in
case it is the router but before I do want to know if it's worth the
investment. Are there any issues I should know about with the Time
Capsule
that make this an unwise decision? I have an Ipad, TIVO, older
Macbook Pro
and Roku Neflix box on the LAN...when it works.
Please reply *off list* to avoid looking like an endorsement or
flame of the
Time Capsule.
