First, here are my specs:
iMac 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
OS 10.5.8
CAC reader: SCR331 USB (firmware v5.25)
CAC: Oberthur ID One v5.2a Dual
I am trying to set up CAC authentication. I do not have one of the "next generation" CAC cards (I believe those are v5.5). The information for the CAC reader is listed correctly in the System Profile, so the drivers & firmware are up to date. When placed in the reader, the card does not show up in Keychain Access. I also run Parallels Desktop where, strangely, the CAC is recognized in the Windows environment (using ActivClient). I can even log on to AKO (Army's secure site) via CAC (*NOTE: I have made sure that Parallels is not running when I've attempted CAC setup in the Mac environment). That doesn't solve my ultimate problem, however.
Ultimately, I need to set up login authentication for my Mac and to be able to connect to Active Directory. The piece that is missing is the CAC showing up (or not, in this case) in Keychain Access.
Does anybody have any idea why this is not working?
Thanks
