Patent holding companies do nothing but purchase and litigate patents;
they create no IP of their own. This is a niche business that exists only
because of peculiarities in the law, and can be legitimately held to have
no constructive purpose.
Nowhere did I demonize the companies that create IP, nor did I say that
patents are evil and should all be invalidated. DonĀ¹t put words into my
mouth, or at least have the courtesy to keep it to private email when you
do.
